We’re marching in Pride in London for the first time – join us!

We’ve got exciting news – for the first time ever, the Market Research Society is marching in Pride in London!

This isn’t just a parade – it’s a powerful moment of visibility, solidarity, and celebration. Pride is about championing the diversity of our society, affirming the right to be seen, heard, and respected – values that lie at the very heart of our industry.

As researchers, we are storytellers of society – and it’s time to show the world that we’re proud of the voices we represent.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that MRS has secured space for 50 researchers to join us on the march. Whether you are part of the LGBTQ+ community or a proud ally, this is your chance to walk alongside colleagues and friends, celebrate who we are, and make some joyful noise in true #MRSpride style.

Let’s show the world that market research is open, inclusive, and committed to reflecting society in all its diversity. Spots are limited – so sign up today and be part of this unforgettable moment.

Signing up is FREE for everyone, but we only have 50 spaces - so secure yours now.

UPDATE: Timings below (although all subject to change):

10-10.45am – meet at a TBC location not far from Curzon Street W1J to collect your wristband. Please approach from NORTH or EAST – with the road closures, it will be incredibly difficult to get to us if having to cross Park Lane or Picadilly.
10.45am – make our way over to the Curzon Street Entry Point (Entry Point 1). NB: there are accessible toilets here if required.
11-11.30am - all walkers MUST have collected their wristbands and have arrived at the Curzon Street/Park Lane Entry Point. We will have to wait here for 60-90 minutes until the march commences.
Between 12 and 1.30pm – parade will commence! Everyone will have a chance to wave a progress flag if they wish – we will be bringing 3 or 4 with us. The walk itself will be 60-90 minutes.
1.30-3pm – we will have finished the parade and will be directed to the dispersal area. When you reach the dispersal area at Whitehall Place, please carry on going – there is not space for the entire parade.
Afterwards – either continue to spectate the parade or visit one of the stages!

Finally, please remember that those registering for the event, will be asked to respect the following guidelines:

Participants requirements:

  • Participants must not be intoxicated by alcohol or under the influence of illegal drugs. Anyone seen taking or distributing illegal substances will be reported to the police and excluded from the parade.
  • Glass bottles or drinking glasses must not be brought into the parade.
  • Pride in London is all about safe self-expression and participants are encouraged to express themselves through their attire. Please remember that in accordance with the law, the minimum clothing required is equivalent to standard swimwear for people of all genders.
  • No obscenities, offensive dress, or offensive material of any kind may be displayed or distributed at Pride in London. If you are unsure whether an item may cause offence, please do not bring this as you will be asked to dispose of it before participating in the parade.
  • All people in the parade must keep moving at the parade pace and minimise gaps. Please do not stop for photos or to perform en route, as this slows the parade down and holds up the people waiting to join behind your group.
  • Your parade group must stay on the sides and in front of vehicles or other parade groups. This is for the safety of your group and the pride in London volunteers. Please do this to ensure your group is allowed entry in future.
  • Please do not bring single-use plastic to the parade. We will provide drinking water for people in the parade in the form-up area. Please remember to bring a refillable, reusable bottle to be able to collect the water we will be providing.
  • We will be providing bins in the form-up area and clear rubbish bags. Please ensure your group keeps all rubbish to a minimum and only leaves rubbish in the areas provided. On route, there will be no bins.

Let’s show the world that data has pride too.

See you in July!
